Recognizing that the ubiquitous problems of society are the result of a vast and complex conspiracy, the next question is by who, and why? Considering all the factors involved there can be only one rational explaination. The answer is

The theory goes like this: Since the "big bang" the universe has been expanding while certain attributes such as intelligent life forms have been building civilzations that try to organize the natural chaos into a manageable system. These cultures think that their progress is advancing the quality of life and securing their long-term survival. But when the universe quits expanding and societies eliminate all problems, the cosmic and human conditions become whole and the process will be complete. Then the cycle will repeat with another big bang and our civilization will be instantly destroyed.

So the network of problems was deliberately inserted into the social system in order to ensure the continued survival of our species.
